The choice to pursue spiritual development has permanent, life-changing consequences.

In choosing to develop oneself spiritually, one chooses truth and greater awareness. This truth and greater awareness opens one's perception to aspects of reality previously unknown. This process of expanding one's awareness and opening one's perception exposes one to experiences which extend beyond conventional, ordinary reality as it is perceived by most people.

These nonordinary experiences can be strange, intense, and result in feelings of othering and separation from people who have not had such experiences.

These nonordinary experiences can cause disruption in one's body-mind-spirit system as one becomes less aligned with previously held beliefs, and more aligned with one's own truth and greater awareness of reality.

These nonordinary experiences can be highly challenging to navigate. This is why it is of utmost importance to pursue spiritual development with the guidance of an experienced teacher who has navigated such challenges successfully, who can create and hold the proper container for one to navigate these experiences for oneself.

Success is never guaranteed. However, working with a teacher increases one's probability of success on a path of spiritual development.

In choosing to pursue spiritual development, one chooses radical responsibility for one's own thoughts, own words, own actions, and one's entire life.

This is not a safe path. This is a courageous path.

There is nothing without risk, but if one proceeds with curiosity, humility, and respect, The Path opens for The Seeker.
